Men who are concerned about small penis size should be offered counseling before any medical interventions are considered, according to a new paper in Sexual Medicine Reviews.
Penile extenders – traction devices that aim to lengthen the penis – might be an appropriate path for some, and injectables and surgery should be considered last resorts “undertaken only in clinical trials,” the authors added.
Penis size can be a source of great anxiety. Some men worry that their masculinity and sexual performance are diminished if their penis is small. (Often, their penis is considered a normal size.)
